The first thing I would do as Big 12 Commissioner is allow tortillas to be thrown in Lubbock.
So, basically, 500 million Europeans expect 300 million Americans to protect them from 120 million Russians who can’t even defeat 40 million Ukrainians while those 500 million Europeans don’t even realize they are being conquered by 2 billion Muslims who claim they are being persecuted by 8 million Israelis. Is that about right?

Sure, we some really bad days when the dirt blows, but all in all, the weather is amazing, the nights are cool, we don't broil (sometimes we just bake), we have all 4 seasons and the cost of living is still reasonable. Just don't let anyone from the west coast know about our hidden gem.

Bill Parcells spent 1975–77 as Texas Tech’s defensive coordinator, helping turn the Red Raiders into one of the Southwest Conference’s best teams of the era. His biggest achievement came in 1976, when Tech went 10–2, finished No. 13 in the AP poll and shared the Southwest Conference championship, with Parcells’ 3–4 defense allowing just 16.3 points per game. That team recorded impressive victories over Texas A&M, Texas, Arkansas and SMU before narrowly losing to Nebraska in the Bluebonnet Bowl. Parcells’ three seasons in Lubbock helped establish his reputation as a defensive coach, and he went on to become one of football’s legendary coaches, winning two Super Bowls with the New York Giants and eventually earning induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
