📚 Analysis: This Friday, we’ve got an inconsistent team facing off against a solid, reliable one. The Birmingham Stallions hold the advantage in this matchup. The reasoning is pretty straightforward: We are backing the superior team at a great price.

I expected the line to be around -5 or -6, but it’s surprisingly sitting at -3 everywhere. The Renegades are being overvalued right now. In week 2, they had a tight game against the Houston Roughnecks, who are currently the weakest team in the UFL. Arlington struggled to score touchdowns, couldn’t contain the Roughnecks’ big plays, and overall, their performance was far from clean.

As we head into week 3, Arlington is averaging more points offensively and allowing fewer points defensively than the Birmingham Stallions, yet they’re still the underdogs. Don’t get too caught up in the stats, though, because Arlington has only faced two of the UFL’s bottom teams: The Roughnecks and the Brahmas, who have also been struggling. It’s hard to predict what kind of team will show up with the Renegades, they are very inconsistent.

On the flip side, I’ve mentioned this before: The Birmingham Stallions have a clear and consistent team identity. With the Stallions being 2024 UFL champions, they know how to win games, play tough defense, and their head coach is hungry for another championship title. In my view, the Stallions outshine the Renegades in every aspect. They have a more refined offense, a stronger defense, a better head coach, and a superior running game. The quarterback play is fairly even with Matt Corral and Luis Perez, but overall, the Stallions have the upper hand.

I fully expect the Stallions to take this game by a touchdown.
