Bill Simmons on the Nuggets:
“Why do they have to trade anybody to sign Peyton Watson? You have Jokic in your team, pay everyone, F*** off. Kroenke has a gazillion dollars, just keep everybody AND pay Peyton Watson. Your owner is super rich what are we doing?”

Heartbroken about losing Adam. I’ve been covering the Buffs for 16 years and he’s been there the whole time. We covered a lot of football games together and became good friends along the way. I loved sharing this beat with him and will miss him terribly. Rest in peace, my friend!
It's fascinating how different the Nuggets and Avs are run. Nuggets have stayed conservative and patient throughout the Jokic era. Not a lot of trades. Same core for the last several years. Even the end of the roster hasn't changed much. They've preached continuity.
You have way more players and more potential moves to make in the NHL, it's also easier to make trades. But the Avs have made 17 trades in just the last two seasons, including some blockbusters -- for Kadri and the trade off Rantanan. They've completely remade their roster and depth.
The two teams under the same ownership couldn't run more differently, and both have 1 championship (so far) in this era and about the same recent playoff success.
What's up everyone! I've decided to bring back the Vetanze Therapy hoodie bracket challenge, and I need design submissions from all of you!
Here's how it works:
You pick the color of the hoodie, logo & outline, and it will entered into the bracket challenge. Then, Twitter will vote for a winner! If the design you submitted wins, you'll get a free hoodie when they become available for purchase!
And, as always, 100% of the proceeds for the hoodie sales will be donated to charity!
They don’t *need* to make this choice. There’s no basketball mechanism forcing it. They’re expected to make this choice so their owners can avoid a historic tax bill, and if they’re going to make their team worse to do that let’s appropriately shame them for it.
