I’ve had more fun discussing ATL United at work and watching hometown Chattanooga FC in the Open Cup than following European leagues.
MLS isn’t perfect and the talent is below the top European leagues, but the gap is smaller than people think and far smaller than 10 years ago.
Unbelievably frustrating to see so many Americans on here saying “the World Cup has me hooked, I can’t wait to start watching the Premier League” when there is surely a football club with a nice stadium & decent fans within an hour of their front door (with exceptions of course)
@DanTheLoft@JenksOliver@SpangledBallers Most recently QPR for a Championship match and Chelsea in the Champions League. Fun, but dead atmospheres compared to to college football.

@SShiv612@NoahRiffe Even as someone that follows Atlanta United, the Falcons are absolutely the primary tenant. The supporter section is literally the Falcon’s wing.
@regen_tor@MilanZak6 There’s an Allianz Arena in Minnesota and it’s probably only the fourth best stadium in that state.
Mind you, even their best stadium wasn’t even picked for the World Cup.
@StephenFleming Have a TSA check at the North Springs MARTA terminal and have an express train that run straight to the airport. You could be there in less than 30 minutes with no stops.
