@therealzevgood For me there are two things. I would not refer to my partner as my ‘girlfriend’ as in no other context would I refer to her or ladies of her age as a ‘girl’. Also, there is a difference (implied at least) in the nature of the relationship described by those two terms.

I know it’s naughty but I can’t resist playing with HR people’s heads. In a training event today we were all asked what we do to ‘switch off’. My response, ‘I don’t’ and a line from my WIP:

‘I can’t stop running. If I do my demons will catch up.’
