@AdamCrafton_ I would also say that you may have underestimated exactly how far adrift the Glazers have left us. Lots of catching up to do off the pitch that our “own revenue” won’t come close to sorting out.
@telecricket@MichaelVaughan Well, he does…when he’s not making scores like 0 and 4, which he’s done too often in his career so far. Talk all we want about roles, but he’s like any other batter - weight of runs are the only metric.
@FoxCricket Love and respect Allan Border (I say that as a Pom) but surely Smith’s record entitles him to give whatever response he wants to good bowling. Where’s the harm??? Don’t get it.
@TomYoungSJ Interesting take. I think her reporting of the CAS verdict bucks the trend of other journos, who seem to have largely swallowed the idea of complete innocence. About as completely innocent as Mason fucking Greenwood…
@AlexCTurk Easy. It’s because it feels like they shouldn’t be ahead of us. I‘ve never felt like they have an exceptional manager. Don’t think their players are any better than ours, all told. None of that applies to City. It’s basically “why them and not us?” Still baffled to be honest…
@MerlinUnited I doubt it’s the way people want to do it. But how else to stay relevant in the oil era after Glazers ruined us? People forget, it’s not just about players signed - it’s about an entire infrastructure that City never had springing up overnight. Gotta compete with that. It’s hard.
