Proud of my guy Maalik Cartwright… He is playing great in Iceland's pro league! He said his team has been making him try a lot of new foods… When he left Delta State he was strictly a Chicken Wing guy. He told me he still won't try sushi 🍣🔥❎🏀 #FamilyFirst @DSUStatesmen @CartwrightMalik

Kaleb Higgins cemented his name in stone during his time in Bakersfield, and capped off a stellar college career as CSUB’s lead guard in the 23’-24’ season. Kaleb averaged 17.9 PPG, along with 3.7 APG.

Kaleb is such a difficult cover playing off-the-bounce, as he converted on 70% PPP in ISO scenarios. He attacks at a low center of gravity, and uses his body to initiate contact to free up space to create. The key factor is how well he plays in space by utilizing straight line attacks and living in seams.

The amount of rim pressure Kaleb applies at 5’10’’ is so profound. He continuously made the correct reads out of ball-screens, which primarily featured him turning the jets on and getting downhill. Kaleb’s pace, ability to embrace bumps, and touch allowed him to finish at a 64% PPS rank at the rim.

Lastly, Kaleb’s floor-spacing and playmaking capabilities will allow him to produce at a high level for a very long time. Kaleb converted at a 53% PPS rank on C&S shots. Additionally, he generated a good deal of opportunities for others out of paint touches, ball-screens, and surveying the floor.
