The scariest part about attending #sixflagsfrightfest in St. Louis this past weekend was neither the rollercoasters nor the costumed actors wearing face-mutilation makeup and revving working chainsaws.
It was the heart-stopping, sky-splitting "bang bang" sound emitted from one of the shows every few minutes, causing total strangers to stare at each other and silently ask: "Is this it?"
