If you have £11,000 in savings: £10,000 is ignored, leaving £1,000 over the limit. £1,000 divided by £500 equals £2. So, £2 per week is added as income, reducing your Pension Credit by that amount.

@chris_c1984 @richardosefton A complete overhaul of the tax system doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone pays more tax. If the personal allowance was lifted the lowest paid would actually pay less tax. If it was a fairer system I absolutely would be willing to pay more tax.
