From hospital IV drips to your medicine cabinet..
Tebipenem has arrived as the world’s first oral carbapenem, FDA-approved on June 17, 2026 for complicated UTIs.
No more mandatory IV lines. No more hospital stays just to get this class of antibiotic.
Same powerful, broad-spectrum punch against resistant Gram-negative bacteria… now in a simple pill.
This isn’t just a new drug. It’s a complete shift in how we fight serious infections and antibiotic resistance.
The future of carbapenems is oral. And it starts today. 💊✨
No more exploitation: Medical interns demand fair pay and an end to modern-day slavery in healthcare.
We are raising our voices and signs , against underpaid labor.
A powerful stand for dignity, better stipends, and sustainable working conditions in the medical field. 👏🩺✊
We appreciate the deployment, now let's talk about the pay.
We negotiated for 4M in 2017, HE @KagutaMuseveni gave us 2.5M.
Let that amount be reinstated and paid monthly.

FUMI Statement, July 21, 2026:
Medical pre-interns should not report for duty. The federation warns of nationwide industrial action if the government fails to address key concerns under the NETH Policy.
#Payallmedicalinterns.
@ShamimNambassa With the current Dr to patient ratio in Uganda, KIU is even doing a favor to Ugandan health sector, it should even increase the numbers.
@BalaamW22 For your own information, KIU bringing more interns is more of an advantage and the university has everything it takes to accommodate those numbers.
But since your a clinical officer.. lemme stop from here.
