As Youngkin talks to a national audience about his education record, let's remember how he treats Queer students. He wants to:
❌ Forcibly out students
❌ Implement a trans bathroom ban
❌ Misgender and deadname students
Students are fighting back. Retweet if you're with us.
If ACPS can say it, so can Fairfax County Public Schools. Indeed, the violence against trans students and allies who stood for the right thing on Tuesday in their protest underscores the need to end the habit of appeasing bullies.
I am incredibly proud of my fellow students within the PLP. Our work is hard, but we will continue to fight. Keep your head in the game, and remember your safety and happiness are the goals! You are your own best ally.
Hi 👋 We're the Pride Liberation Project, the student-led group that led walkouts to challenge Youngkin's hate. We've also:
✍️ Lobbied school boards & the General Assembly
📣 Mobilized 10,000s of students
📗 Fought book bans

With my brand new twitter account, I wanted to thank everyone for their support and kind words. It means the world to see people moved by what students have to say. Let’s keep the fight going!
"How can he stand there and say he loves this country and loves this state if he wants to hurt us?" --Casey Calabia, 17, a non-binary senior at McLean High School to @GovernorVA@mclean_gsa@PrideLiberation@wusa9
Student voices are the most important voices in education. Thank you to everyone that uplifting what we have to say. We have the right to safe schools.
