I’m more convinced than ever… that a friendly smile and genuine greeting to the students we encounter during the day, is more meaningful than most of us realize. It doesn’t take much to inject some positivity into a kid’s day.
As a teacher, I remember discussing and processing the horrible 9-11 attacks with kids.
As State Superintendent, I have deep appreciation for the teachers who discussed and processed the horrible 1-6 attack with kids.
