-The Director and I are engaging in a thorough, top-to-bottom review of policies and procedures. We’re ensuring we are delivering results, reforms, and accountability to the people we answer to, the citizens of this great country.

-Recruiting is at record levels. The Director and I are committed to rewarding excellence, and eliminating malfeasance, and mediocrity. The many good cops here have always answered the call, and have doubled-down on making bad guys have really bad days. It’s resonating. I end most of our meetings with “go get us bad guys,” and our many good cops hit the streets and get it done. Because that’s what they do.

-We are looking at everything - training, hiring, cost efficiencies, policies on sensitive cases, transparency issues, personnel changes, and more. The pace of change has been perceived as rapid by some, and slow by others. The Director and I will only move at a pace that gets the job done correctly and properly. Sloppiness and rush-jobs are unacceptable given the gravity of what we’re dealing with.

-If you are an abuser of children, a terrorist, a gang-banger, or someone violating our immigration laws who believes this is your criminal playground, then we’re about to make your life really difficult. Watch. It’s coming. Don’t doubt us.

-Much of the work being done in select divisions of the FBI must happen in silence. The Director and I are briefed on it every morning. The threats are real, but I assure you that the commitment of our agents in these spaces is real too. If you’re plotting to hurt us, we will not rest until we hunt you down. I hope this keeps you up at night.

-Because you don’t see things happening in live time, does not mean they aren’t happening. Not even close. You will see results, and not every result will please everyone, but you will absolutely see results.
