I just saw a TikTok about how self-isolation during moments of being overwhelmed shows a direct correlation to problem-solving alone as a child. Whew, it me.
I want a soft life. I want ease. I want relaxation. I do not want to hustle. I do not want to grind. Grinding wears you down to brittle nothingness. I do not want to work my life away. I want enjoyment and rest, not as rewards but as practice. My life will be a practice in joy.
I don’t think people are angry enough that bridges are collapsing, thousands are homeless, millions are hungry, a pandemic is running rampant, teachers and nurses are leaving their professions, and our government’s response is to endlessly increasing funding for police and war.
The current sitting Queen of England is two years older than this. People try to treat their lives like ancient, unchangeable history. Just a chapter in your high school text book. This is contemporary.
