Good news: the Senate Ag Committee just passed a farm bill with no Save Our Bacon Act in it.

Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa tried at the last minute to add her SOB Act, which would force every state to allow the sale of pork from crated pigs.

She failed -- thanks to the pressure you've created. The Senate Ag Chair, who previously supported SOB, now knows it's too toxic to include.

But the fight isn't over. Pork industry lobbyists will now try to insert the SOB Act behind closed doors, using its presence in the House version of the farm bill as leverage.

Keep the pressure on. Call your senators at 202-224-3121 and tell them: no farm bill with the Save Our Bacon Act in it.
