@worldsokuho Not in every situation it works but a lot of the time grabbing a dogs flank and squeezing, pinching or twisting hard. Shocks them sne hurts enough to make them let go. Important note is it’s likely the dog will then go for you but in a situation like this it’s good to be aware of
