@chrisbrunet@UChicago You don’t have to show if Americans are qualified for H-1B petitions. That’s PERM. Please try to have substantive requirements correct before you start tweeting things
This makes zero sense, are we to think that Nicki never had a green card before?
This is exactly what we said was going to happen - he’s just going to give green cards to his friends
@FoxNews This is not true - it’s only the validity period of the EAS card for certain categories are being brought down to 18 months but individuals can still apply for extensions.
@mattforney To follow also, in both the H-1B and PERM context. Individuals are required to be paid the prevailing wage rate for the role as set by the Department of Labor. The argument of “under cutting wages by hiring H1Bs” is just blatantly false.
@mattforney 1. That’s not for H-1Bs. Recruitment is only mandatory for the PERM process.
2. The regulations require posting in a Sunday Paper. No company is “purposely” choosing the Sunday paper to be evasive, it’s literally the requirement.
Do an OUNCE of research
@NoMorePraheets@mattforney If a US worker applies during a PERM process and meets all the minimum requirements, the PERM process must stop and the company cannot to continue forward in the permanent sponsorship of the foreign national.
@SawyerHackett Birth right citizenship doesn’t just apply to EWI though, it applies to people on work visas who have a ten year backlog for a green card and another five years to citizenship. You want to ask people who stimulate our economy to also not have families? Workers will go elsewhere
