Annual spending on major assistance programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, Section 8, etc is approximately $1.25 trillion (we have an official deficit of about $1.8 trillion).

Here's that number alongside the BMI of recipients. As you can see, approximately 40% of recipients are obese with another ~30% overweight. ~70% of welfare is going to subsidize waistlines.

Machiavelli writes in The Prince that you should never rely on losing deliberately so that way people will want to restore you. This can only work if literally all other options fail and you lost anyways, and if not they will never restore you.

In other words, letting Democrats win because you hope Republicans will then give you power or because it will cause the system to collapse and then you rise to the top is a really, really dumb idea.

You must exhaust literally all expedient options to continue to maintain or to take control rather than simply rely on losses to somehow result in a win. Important stuff.
