Occupations are any activity that we need, want or like to do to live and to look after our physical and mental health. They can be self-care, productive or leisure. #OTWeek23 https://t.co/CGkVA5WMPd
Thank you for the #OTWeek23 shout out and fanfare this morning @gregjames@BBCR1 and his caller Laura. 💚
Laura, if it was you, let us know!

A cardiac event could prevent you from doing things you enjoy doing due to reduced confidence, anxiety, stress, or fatigue. OTs in Cardiac Rehab can help you get back to doing the things that are important to you ❤️ #OTWeek2023
We do occupations from the moment we’re born – they’re essential to living. They give our lives meaning and purpose, they shape who we are, and help us connect with others. #OTWeek23 https://t.co/CGkVA5WMPd
@wendy_foo_ Yes 'people' also seems best and most sensible word. I use Patient term professionally, but when asked if i have a busy day... by existing patients. I dont like to use the term patients, seems too clinical.
Just had a telephone appointment & catch up with my NHS Mental Health support. Because of my kayaking journey, I’m healthily strong at the moment & it was good to talk about this. I’m not discharged from the service yet. I’m pleased to know they’re there for me. I’m grateful.
@JemChanOT It's all very well being told what not to do but surely we need to offer sensible alternatives to help people acheive this. Have sleep system type pillows been discussed?
Amazing afternoon showcasing all the innovation, diverse roles and service improvements happening across @HywelDdaHB Occupational Therapy Service. Feeling inspired and proud.
