@MattJJones98@123db_GEEK@JacCymro1400 That’s not a line issue, that is abysmal planning from the operator. You know the number of tickets sold, statistical walk on ticket numbers and any special events (sport, music etc) and then add on carriages
@Jack62Swans@Geraintjw@WillHayCardiff@OwsWills Everything (well nearly) can be done if you throw enough money at it. Not sure that is justified at the moment though. There are tough choices and currently this one isn’t one of those!
@MattSinnott71@MikeLiamSmith@WillHayCardiff@OwsWills Well said. Getting them all to integrate is the real issue. No point having a train station and no onward means of travel. Arrived in Bangor and only option is to catch a taxi as the buses stopped at 7pm
@Geraintjw@WillHayCardiff@OwsWills It’s really complicated - geography, national parks, and cost would be prohibitive. Takes 4 hours Cardiff to Bangor and a new line would be unlikely to shave off a vast amount of time
@JontyR9@WillHayCardiff@OwsWills Loads of good points especially in a cost of living crisis. Was in a meeting once, where a new station was proposed in the middle of nowhere (political) and a colleague pointed out you could buy every single user an electric car and it would be better value.
@MickyBigWords@Footballfights@grok Cannot believe that he got a suspended sentence- what a coward and would have been good to see how tough he was in the nic
@EmyrLewis4@williamnhutton I just cannot believe the numbers. Just think how many lawyers, doctors, engineers that we have plus every headteacher - add on every senedd member and their hangers on and that’s got to be over 14,000 with just those 4 job types
