Yesterday my husband ran into a friend from his old gym. The friend greeted him & enthusiastically said “How have you been - You look SO happy!” & since then I’ve been thinking about how that’s the best compliment you could possibly receive from someone you haven’t seen in awhile

*Me just finishing a run at the park wearing an Ironman finisher shirt.
Other runner: Wow did you do an Ironman??
Me: What? Oh ya. In a former life. Pre-pandemic and pre-baby…I shout this over cocomelon blasting on my phone and out of breath from a 5-miler pushing a stroller.
Man now I understand the memes and jokes about traveling with kids. One overnight trip to see family with our 8-month-old and we’re physically, emotionally and mentally drained.
I moved internally within @ClevelandClinic from marketing to HR almost a year ago! Thankful for an organization that encourages professional & personal growth — even when it feels like you’re out of your comfort zone.

There’s an annoying misconception about working from home & being a mom. Many assume that I keep the baby home with me & I always ask them — do you bring your kids to work with you?? It’s still an 8 hour day with meetings, calls and actual work I have to get done.
@KellyStefl It’s hard! I definitely want to go back to work (major probs to all stay at home moms!!), but 12 weeks still seems so little to separate mom and baby all day 😭
When I had my daughter back in August, Halloween seemed so far away. Now Halloween is this weekend and I only have one more week left of maternity leave with her😭 Time is a real thief.
I don’t understand why people are wearing band shirts of artists they don’t listen to. My cousin was wearing a Rolling Stones shirt & confessed she’s never listened to them. Then I saw a girl wearing a “purple rain” shirt. Would bet money she doesn’t even know who Prince is🙄
“The chaos of motherhood might make it easier to forget some small trivial things along the way, but perhaps we’re wired like this on purpose; to make space for the memories that matter most.” https://t.co/yWBXmdRHdV
@stephaniemduffy It’s weird I was just saying the same thing the other day. As an adult now, 9/11 seems so much more terrifying and unreal than when I was 11 because I couldn’t fully comprehend it.
