Share this post and make the Forget Me Not Appeal unmissable 💙
We know that every Forget Me Not tells a story, and everyone has their own personal reason for wearing it. But too often, our stories go untold.
But when millions of us wear it, people have to listen.
So today, we want as many people as possible to join in and tell us why you wear your badge, and what it means to you.
Whether you wear it in honour of a loved one, for vital support services, or to fund research – share your photos, tell your story, and make sure to tag us and use the hashtag #ForgetMeNotAppeal.
Let’s speak up for everyone affected by dementia and show the world we stand together in hope that we can beat it.
Every Forget Me Not tells a story.
Tell us yours.

A message from Tracy Harris, CEO of CAVS
"As we celebrate #VolunteersWeek and take the time to specially recognise our wonderful volunteers for all their kindness and commitment, I want to highlight just how much we value everything that is carried out voluntarily to support our vital community services. Volunteers' underpin all that we do in providing a Befriending Service, Family Mentoring, Ways to Wellness and Social Prescribing.
We are tackling many things across our local communities including loneliness and isolation. I’m sharing a short video on CAVS Befriending Service as we reflect on the positive impacts our existing volunteers have on the lives of others who reach out to us for help.
As demand increases, more volunteers are needed to support the vital work we do across Castle Point. Do you have some spare time that you could give and help make a real difference to the life of another?
Thank you to all our volunteers for being the heart of CAVS💙

‘Every Forget Me Not badge tells a story.
‘Behind each badge, there are stories of lives devastated by dementia, of crucial support helping people navigate the huge daily challenges of life with dementia, and the researchers searching for breakthroughs.’
Our patron, Dame Judi Dench, is just one of the millions of people across the UK who have lived through the devastation of dementia.
We’re thrilled to have Dame Judi’s support as we launch this year’s Forget Me Not Appeal – a time for us all to come together and show our support for everyone affected by the UK’s biggest killer.
‘Sadly, I’ve seen first-hand how cruel dementia can be, for both the person living with the condition and their loved ones.
‘Whatever your story, please join Alzheimer’s Society this June and wear your Forget Me Not – to support people living with dementia today and bring us closer to a future where dementia no longer devastates lives.’
You can help us, and Dame Judi, change the story of dementia – comment “badge” to find out how to show your support
