this - you can bet your bottom dollar that, had SPMs moved to Australia or elsewhere to avoid the persecution when this started, they would have been extradited asap! Two tier justice is alive and well but the SPMs will NOT BE BEATEN!
SDT has no power to 'witness summons' anyone - in any circumstances.
Re Respondent: If genuinely trying to assist the much broader and extremely serious concerns of SPMs, their families and the British public at large, the woman in question would be well advised to attend in person.
My instinct however is that facing a televised tribunal or inquiry, live and in person, given the already known facts of #PostOfficeScandal would likely see her crumble. Just an opinion.
Mustn't pre-judge outcome of course but firm hand required by SDT.

@CastletonLee It will be like a canoe forcing a tanker to shift course, to change the British tradition of a lack of accountability of those in authority.
But, constantly chipping away & eroding that tradition, I think will eventually produce results.
@CastletonLee But we will not shut up and go away… I’m definitely not on behalf of my elderly father! And we know you wont either being a principled man! 🩵
A collective of us will not vanish, because justice matters, human suffering matters, lost lives matter 🙏
@CastletonLee Expected perhaps, but that is the problem isn't it. A statutory inquiry cannot compel her and neither can the SRA. One rule for executives who presided over Horizon, another for sub-postmasters dragged through the courts. #PostOfficeScandal
@VarchasPatel@JulieDo17311344@CastletonLee Very complicated question. Subpoenas aren't enforceable in International Law. It may be possible to use the Hague Convention's conditions to request the Country involved to look at the application.
I agree completely.
It’s sickening.
But don’t ever believe it’s over.
If we carry on asking the right, honest and fair questions let’s hope that the pressure forces Justice to be served.
It’s certainly not over just because perpetrators think they can run away and hide.

I know mate. I really do. I don’t think a change of course will be influenced by any of us. If it has to be after a report is published let’s hope it’s a kick into action that sweeps the Nation and forces accountability.
@CastletonLee Honestly mate, I still cannot fathom why more arrests and interviews under causation can’t be pursued rather than claim a ‘number of suspects’. It’s so obvious!!! And I also fear some might flee the country. I can think of one ethnic suspect who may leg it to Asia 😤
Patrick Hannam, John Bosher, and George Dack risked theri lives for Britain.
Decades later, their families are fighting for answers. From missing medical records to lifelong health battles, this is the true cost of state secrecy.

True Justice should be blind. Let’s see the report and then the police can do their bit. I’m sure the Public will also want to be involved in that too.
It doesn't set a good example for those who have and sadly will cause harm to victims of any scandal. Money, power and connections should never shield anyone from accountability. Until those responsible for harm are held to account, the fear is that justice remains out of reach.
