"You're not fine." She shot back with an eyeroll as she set about cleaning the bloodied patches.

"I'm not letting you die before we even get to give this relationship half a chance."

"Hmm."

She had also brought a bowl of warm water and a cloth to patch him up a little.

"Lemme clean you up and bandage your wounds while you drink your tea, okay?"

She first handed him the painkillers and a glass of water.

"What happened last night?"

She's already on it!

Carrying a tray with tea and a side of painkillers through to him.

@DEVlLOFGOD "I am single handedly keeping chivalry alive." She snickered, leading him over to a vacant table and showing him where to feel for the hard plastic chair.

Not that he didn't know, it was all a show for the other customers around them.

"What do you want? I'll go up and order."

@DEVlLOFGOD "You caught my eye." She teased, giving him a nudge with her elbow.

When they arrived the bagel shop Patsy pushed open the door, holding it open for Matt.

@DEVlLOFGOD "No offence, Matt. But your life can often be the topic of gossip around here." She pointed out.

"Liiiiiiike, are you the very handsome and mysterious daredevil?" She snickered.

Although, from personal experience I can tell you that living in the suburbs isn't that much better.

Full of gossiping neighbors and what not."

@DEVlLOFGOD "I like taking walks to clear my head sometimes." She agreed, giving his arm a reassuring squeeze.

"Sometimes you just need perspective."
