there are few things comparable to watching your elders get a hold of something like fruit that they can only get in the homeland — no matter the quantity. this is so sweet 😭
So excited to be going to see @daraobriain later in the year in Reykjavik. One of only a few comedians who includes Iceland on his tours and it is SO appreciated. Last time was incredible I can’t wait.
@honestburgers a massive shoutout to your Hammersmith staff. I was there on 15/01 with two small kids and oblivious to the fact there was a huge gig that night before entering. Even in the chaos your staff were amazing and so kind and the food as delicious as always.
Okay @danny_robins I’m all about English/Swedish comedy radio programs and hate spooky things but I’ve given in and I’m LOVING Uncanny…but think it helps I live in a small, bright very modern apartment. I reckon I could get really freaked listening in the wrong setting 😂
Right then. After 2 years away I’m really really hoping to come HOME in a few weeks. What’s changed in #northnorfolk where should we be eating and drinking a shopping? Good beer, good pub food, cake, coffee ice cream etc? Bring it on!
@ShaunaTate_ I used to make fancy hot chocolate to take to uni in winter cost amost nothing but was the best treat when I needed the warm sugar fix within the first hour.
@richardosman RE: Unbelievable Truth…we do have Iceland shops In Iceland! There’s about 4 of them in total (It’s where one goes for tea, good ice lollies and mince pies at Christmas!)
My original copy of my favourite book as a child by @chrisriddell50 that I read to my children in Iceland …and a new purchase for their father to read to them in their mother tongue. Full circle!
@MarianKeyes Might I ask so suggest Annika Stranded on Radio 4, it’s Nicola Walker in a Norwegian crime radio drama, short episodes easy listening and brilliant.
