*Antisemitism Grips London:*

Antisemitic hate crimes recorded by London’s Metropolitan Police surged 72% month-on-month, climbing from 148 offences in April to 255 in May.

This marks the largest monthly spike the capital has experienced since late 2023, with incidents spanning 28 of London’s 32 boroughs.

The borough of Barnet, including Golders Green, Hendon and Finchley saw the highest concentration, recording 76 offences that accounted for 30% of the citywide total.

Other heavily impacted areas included Hackney with 40 offences and Westminster with 29.
