@xanbarksdale Pardon my misunderstanding, are you saying most catchers you’ve seen are scripted or you prefer your guys to be scripted? Regardless, love the topic!
@CoachRix8 IMO pop time is dependent on how deep in your throwing motion you can receive the ball. You can have quick feet but if you catch the ball in a stationary position and then take extra time to get momentum going, neither matter.
Drill of the Day:
Oldie but 💰
Explosive Medicine Ball Throws
Focus on loading into the back hip and driving forward. Be explosive. Use two-hands. Use a 2/4lb medball. Younger catchers I have them use one of those old big hitting balls that are abit over a 1lb.

Yadi always has been one of the best leaders in the game. This is an extremely important trait for catchers at all levels.

Today: Salvador Perez
Sal is a big man. One of the things that makes him so good is his ability to manipulate his body. Spec. One knee.
@coach_coxy Wow, nicely done. I probably let that play 15 times. Great job controlling the glove through the ball and presenting for the umpire. One of your students?
