@DrSelvarajah Yup. Agreed our Cat3 & 4 is a start...
We really need top down triage... the clinician triaging everything "doctor" first approach to get it right. But that = £££££
@DrSelvarajah CAT3&4 AMBULANCES are retriaged by clinicians in our locality... I guess it doesn't extend to CAT2 Because of the potential for dangerous delay...
Pat Cummins realizing that Khawaja had to stand away because of the alcohol so he tells his team to put it away and calls Khawaja back immediately. A very small but a very beautiful gesture❤️
@_Suz_Lee @emergprehosp Is "should all paramedics be able to recognise raised blood glucose and kussmaul's breathing as DKA" ?
Except that wouldn't open up the useful discussion points that I have had for why the crew may not have thought that way... dispatch as resp distress, etc... anyway... rambling
Doc, we're on scene, despatched as "resp distress" but we're not worried about tachypnoea and mild tachycardia, we're worried about their BM, its 26.9 and this 19 year old isn't diabetic, we want to know what you want us to do?
No urine sample, pt unable to PU...
Erm... 😳 WWYD?
@_Suz_Lee @emergprehosp 🤔 it was, almost verbatim, the opening gambit of the call...
And this 😳 is the emoji I use for "crikey" so...
I'll take that on board for future posts. Seems on twitter everyone is very negative... so I'll in future post the exact question I want answering, which I guess here
#TeamGP how are you feeling?
✅Work long hours
✅No time with family
✅ Forget to eat
✅Struggle to sleep
✅Stressed about work
✅Carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders?
✅ Asked if you need well-being support?
💡 Just need the job to be possible again @BMA_GP
@paranthropology That's a really sh*tty attitude! I hope you don't think I was mocking/being mean. Was genuinely trying yo gauge if this should be standard knowledge in a paramedic
Should have asked specifically that Q. Will be more careful how tweets are worded in future.
