I spent the latter part of my afternoon with some great people. I’m a life long learner and @hobbyschooluh makes that possible. Big thanks to the Gelwick family.
This is scary!!! Parents need to understand that a voucher won’t pay for their child to go to a fancy private school. The best things we can do to support school choice is fully fund public schools, respect teachers, and pay teachers fairly.
The latest report from the Hobby School examines support for two forms of proposed school choice legislation, vouchers and tax incentives for donations to support attendance at private schools.

@CarissasNewLife For your depression, I’d recommend talking to your therapist about it. Do you plan to get off your medication? Will you need a different medication? I stayed on my medication, but didn’t start trying until a yr w/o suicidal thoughts. I maintained wkly appointments throughout
The amount that Texas spends per student won’t pay tuition at most private schools. Even if it did, there aren’t enough openings.
Poor, rural, disabled, and millions of other studies would be hurt by vouchers.
Keep public money in public schools!!!
This is coded language to give subsidies to wealthy families via school vouchers.
The majority of Texans condemn the Governor’s false attacks on public education.
