@AngiePedley @Sandy8Ellis@implausibleblog@RachelReevesMP Absolutely! Disenfranchised staff have left and the resulting holes often have to be filled with extortionate agency staff. Would be interested to know who are share holders in the main medical agencies
@DebLaughton@Nanooe@danielgoyal It’s not just about HR. Trying to reduce health inequalities e.g. black women’s awful maternity outcomes. Also getting underrepresented minorities to access services.
It’s a shame @nhs_pensions don’t give people a clear timeline of what to expect. No news on pension. Looks like I’ll get nothing this month. If it’s the same in July, I’ll be grovelling to the bank!
@Richard46937617@nhs_pensions That’s crazy! My husband retired in January and his was done in time. I’m partially retiring and am relying on the pension to make up the difference. Hope yours is sorted soon.
🏴🇵🇰 Weather Watch: Grey skies overhead, unfortunately the forecasted heavy rain has started at Headingley.
We will provide updates throughout the day when we have them.

@JCeoltaSmith Theoretically my current job is ideal, but it doesn’t have the pt contact, challenge and OT creativity for me. Good reflection on what I value in work. Hoping I will get it back from other ventures away from work 😁
@Sarasearching Surround yourself with those good for you. Sadly some friendships are superficial. I have experienced this during depression, divorce and now long covid. I value those that stuck around even more now.
I couldn’t agree more Occupational Therapy is a complex intervention. We should expect a greater depth of understanding from our professional body. Not these superficial, lazy, social media campaigns. So disappointing, AGAIN
@Tashishome Sorry you’re having such a tough time. As awful as it will feel, having your ex out of your life is a blessing. No one needs someone like that.
Letting your mum look after you, being kind to yourself is priority. Pacing is key. Some Vagus nerve work may help too
@OT_CarersUnite @anita_atwal@mirnoonanOT@rebecca_khanna @Retired_AHPs @OTinretirement @AbleOTUK@BAMEOTUK@LGBTQIAOTUK Patients and carers need to be involved in curriculum development. The profession must be client centred from the beginning. To often services are driven by outcomes that are not priority or meaningful to the individual.
@LaughingOT Sadly bullying and misuse of power is common in the NHS. I applaud you for taking action- I just ran away and would rather tear my eyes out than work for that organisation again!
This takes me back to #OT training over 30 years ago. Proving expensive resources for #OTgoals#ActivityAnalysis Check out Bewegingsagoog Joël's video! #TikTok https://t.co/qW9TBlm7AH
