11 volunteers out for our June pick. Think the area is doing quite well in terms of litter, certainly down on previous efforts. Three picks in a row means it’s a trend now!! New bin helps!
That said in an hour eleven bags and a few bits and pieces were collected. Thanks all!!
Quick reminder that at 10am tommorrow, 8th , we meet for our June pick. All kit provided. Meet at gelligaer street park. Come and meet some neighbours and make our community a little better! #LoveWhereYouLive
Hello @cardiffcouncil a nasty mess on rhigoes street in Cathays again. Near junction with brithdir street. Pretty much exactly where some of our volunteers cleared it up last Saturday. Could someone pop by and maybe some education locally ?
Dear #Tidy colleagues across #Cardiff - we have today asked @cardiffcouncil for a follow up workshop after last year's event to support the Litter & Fly Tipping task & finish group. We're all feeling frustrated with the state of our streets but want to find a solution!
Should there be tougher sentences for fly-tippers?
Fly-tipping in England has risen by almost 40% over the last five years but since guidelines changed in 2014, no one has been given the maximum fine or prison sentence.

Formal May pick in glorious weather saw 15 volunteers gather 30 bags across our community. It did need some love, but the worst was more poor waste management and split bags etc. Credit to the volunteers who tackled some of those grot spots!!
Just a reminder the May pick to round off spring clean Cymru is 10am tommorrow at the pedestrian area next to st Monica’s school. All kit provided. Come and meet some neighbours and keep your community clean (sadly needs it walking around tonight)
Another day in Colum Road, cathays another student let who doesn’t care about local residents. Attracting vermin and birds - reported to @cardiffcouncil let’s see if they action it. @DirtyCardiff

@cardiffcouncil further to your recent Section 46 (environmental protection act) notice to residents of Colum Road, will you be enforcing the 28 wheelybins and bags that are currently spread across the street in Colum Road??
@cardiffcouncil Colum Road is again full of knocked over wheelybins from @cardiffuni student housing failing to pull them back to their property. The street looks like a disgrace! Are you enforcing this or not?!
Rubbish out a week early and in the street., 3rd October Will someone enforce before the bags are broken and rubbish allowed to litter the street.
