Blaise was a doctor *and* a bishop before he was martyred during a Roman persecution. Among his healing, he famously saved a boy choking on a fish bone.

86 years ago, the Cathedral was formally dedicated. What started as a small parish with a few hundred parishioners is now a thriving church home to over 5,000 families! We're celebrating that anniversary at all of our Masses this weekend. May God give us 86 more years!

You might see this new cross on the altar at church this Sunday. The Latin on it reads "Jubilee of Hope 2025" and it's a marker signifying that the Cathedral is a pilgrimage site during the Year of Jubilee that Pope Francis just inaugurated.

A jubilee year is a year celebrating forgiveness: because we were forgiven by Christ, we forgive the debts and trespasses of others.
