The Gospel of St. Matthew (Nov 16) is the most consistently read Gospel in the liturgical worship of the Church. Its primary affirmation is that Jesus is Israel’s long-awaited Messiah (Matt.11:3). “Divinely eloquent Matthew, we honour your precious memory!
