Becoming chronically ill (including already being chronically ill and becoming sicker) includes a lot of grief.
You grieve for how it could’ve been if you didn’t become as sick as you are now.
You grieve for your future self in case you get sicker once again.

Extremely grateful for all of my experiences with @CLD_GSU, especially #GaLEND and the EI/ECSE efforts that are happening! Going to miss my CSPD teammates but will be taking their energy to DC!

Wonderful episode! ❤️ I should have been live tweeting my reactions to everything Kim says (I might have been live texting her as I listened 😆) because she is speaking all of the truths!

I entered GaLEND right at the time when all of my health needs flared up and I was beginning my own personal growth in this life journey called disability. I entered a space that not only normalizes disability, but celebrates it! 🎉 #Disability#GaLEND22
Since 2011, the GaLEND program has engaged more than 240 individuals with and without disabilities as long-term trainees. These individuals have substantially contributed to clinical care, public health systems, education, and advocacy. https://t.co/ULjwGTgODJ
