@NatashaMDay I took my son there years ago for his fourth birthday despite my not being a fan of rides. We went on the runaway train and because it was quiet with no queues we ended up going round about 8 times before we got off! Not my favourite experience 😂
@NatashaMDay@RoyalAirForce Hope TH enjoyed it. This reminded me that I took my son to see Thames Valley Tigers in Bracknell about 25 years ago, he would have been a similar age.
@NatashaMDay A wonderful thread Tash. Lovely to see all you have and continue to achieve for the benefit of all. You're living the career I aspired to but never had the confidence or energy to achieve. Take care of yourself too.
@ColinSpenc4257 Yes really embedded in our household. My husband's initials are TC, his ringtone is the theme tune and we have a DVD containing at least half a dozen episodes, just so our kids know what all the hype is about!
@ColinSpenc4257 All of them. You could also add second post. If something didn't arrive first post it usually came later that morning. We can only dream now 😂
@NatashaMDay Do none of these things, you're doing OK. We both had to work shifts, had to have some childcare but it taught our boys to be adaptable, broadened their experiences and gave them an enviable work ethic. They've turned out fine and your son will too.
@NatashaMDay As an IPCN Manager I always asked the team to scrutinise policies, reports etc. that I'd written before sending out. This helped avoid errors and ensured readability for a wide audience. Sadly new staff often felt uncomfortable doing so as this wasn't their experience elsewhere.
@BlondiieMama Suggest you contact Pooley's they seem to make most of the ceremonial swords these days. They may be able to help, even though it's not one of theirs.
@garygreenobe I remember this, it stuck with me also because it was the same ship back in 1970 where I stood at Southampton docks watching and waving my grandparents off to Australia.
@WarrenBonathan@Dunkirk_1940 Thanks. My Grandfather used to go to the pub on Sunday lunchtime, he was well known and lots of people would generously buy the Major a pint. The landlord kept his tab so he could go back in throughout the week to drink them!
@MartinSLewis I lent my son money to buy a house. We agreed on repayments to match mortgage repayment. I don't charge interest. Hasn't changed our relationship. I know he'll pay it all back that's who he's always been. I can be more flexible than a bank when he works in a volatile industry.
