My Metis ancestors were likely from an #Abenaki nation or the #Huron, but I am unsure. Though my mother's DNA test indicated 18% indigenous, we were completely cut off 10 or so gens. ago. I have no idea where to start in learning and reclaiming. 1/

I find it difficult to sort through colonial perspectives in written research. I am not sure where to go from here. Perhaps knowing what I have learned now is the end of my journey. I feel lost/in-between. Uncertain. 5/
