@dccommonsense there used to be a few guys going around giving ten thousand dollar bounties to anyone who could prove meddling with the elections, it just never came to be.
It must be so hard to do honest research when their base is so rabid and delusional.
@Alphons63 it would still be aesthetically unpleasing if it wasn't AI assisted, I don't even understand what they mean by it, like you only need to texture one skeleton, one horse, there's not a lot of assets going on here... His style also doesn't lend itself to painterly bgs anyway.
@amenluvr@SeloSlav its the same old, why would I wanna play a game you didn't bother to make ? If I were so smart as to know which parts can be safely delegated to AI, say procedural dirt textures, I am also smart enough to use a texture thats already production ready from a texture library.
the internet is basically tricking you into having the same pointless arguments over and over, instead go do something more useful like indiedev, watercolour painting or wanking to amateur porn.
Here's a Chinese-room style thought experiment on AI as theft:
Take two sealed rooms, one containing a human artist, one containing an AI model. You don't know which is which. You feed both rooms with the life works of Salvador Dali and ask them to learn the style. You then return a month later and ask both rooms to produce an image in the style of Dali.
When these works are produced, is there an argument to be made that a crime of theft has been committed in one room, but not the other?
@BenjiGameDev you were responding to a slop tweet that was a reply to the argument "the models were trained on stolen knowledge" you just didn't bother to read, I suppose.
@BenjiGameDev theres a million steps where the creation of the current models was unethical, you can make any type of argument you want with trolleys and Chinese rooms, it doesn't affect in any way the wrongs that were done
@BenjiGameDev ethics ? then the argument is irrelevant, making an approximate reproduction is not unethical lmao, that's never been the problem.
I mean think a little, if I make a million of something then flood the market to cut you out of it, the unethical act is flooding the market.
@LumpyTheCook my fav Elite: Dangerous survived for a few years on only 5k players daily, not much is needed to keep these games running and adding expansions, what kills them usually is some suit going "well its not 1 million players everyday so we have to defund it completely".
"I feel that this Hawthorne has dropped germinous seeds into my soul. He expands and deepens down, the more I contemplate him; and further, and further, shoots his strong New-England roots into the hot soil of my Southern soul."
Herman Melville excuse meee ???!!1?
We put a devlog on the @SPRAWLfps steam page showing off our weapons. Would you want us to do one for the level design?
(yes these are levels from an FPS game lol)
@sleepy_devo you should only buy a house if you plan to give it to your children for them to live on it, it really screwed over the entire house market otherwise cause supply pricing is no longer rational
