Let’s keep Australian jobs in Australia

Another day, another sellout from corporate Australia. 👇

This time it’s Qantas who is looking at sending Australian jobs offshore.

Why isn’t the Federal government doing something to stop companies from sending jobs offshore? And more importantly why aren’t the Unions complaining about this?

While I think it’s a sellout, to be fair to corporates why would you employ people in Australia when you have to be incur payroll tax and wade through endless State Government red tape.

Not to mention having to compete with offshore companies that can shift their profits offshore.

People First will abolish payroll tax and nationalise workers compensation to standardise it across Australia.

We will also increase taxes on profits sent offshore to fund more tax cuts for Australians.

“Qantas will send a small team to India to investigate a proposal from technology company Accenture to outsource hundreds of back office jobs to the country as a cost saving exercise.

It's understood numerous roles have already been identified as suitable for outsourcing in the areas of finance, marketing and human resources, among others.

Accenture referred inquiries to Qantas which said the companies were in "early stage discussions but no formal agreement is in place and no decisions have been made"

"Like all organisations, Qantas has been looking at ways to accelerate the use of technology and AI to help us modernise the way we work and deliver better outcomes for our customers and our people," said a Qantas spokesman.”
