I've had over 600 sales & business experts on The Sales Podcast.
There is someone in your industry right now working half as hard, selling an inferior product or service, making twice as much money as you.
What questions do you have about sales & marketing?
Drop them below.
In France, all they hear on the news is, "cat, I farted."
(Go translate, "chat, j'ai pété.")
Who says you can't have fun with technology?
(No, I did not have ChatGBT write this post for me.)
(No, neither did my cat write this post.)
(No comment on the fart part.)
"You must enter the conversation going on in the mind of the prospect." ~Robert Collier
In other words, meet them where they are.
You must adjust how you sell to match how your prospect prefers to buy.
Eliminate "I," "me," and "we" from your pitches to sell mo betterer.
Time kills deals.
See the shot. Take the shot.
This applies to selling, dating, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, negotiation, etc.
"But Wes, I need more time...more information...I need to do more resear..." BAM!
That's the sound of you losing.
Take the shot.
Blaze your own trail?
People who post this have never swung a machete, and it shows.
Sometimes it's best to open a gas station on the corner of an existing trail, sell hot dogs and 40 ouncers, and giggle your way to the bank.
#DontMakeThingsHarderThanTheyNeedToBe
Sales is like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
The answers are simple, but uncomfortable.
To win in sales and BJJ, have the discipline and commitment to do the small things well and consistently.
Stop worrying. Stop looking for shortcuts. Do what you know you need to do.
How to win in sales #1: Plan for Imperfection
If your meeting is 30 min away, plan on 8 minutes to park, ride the elevator, use the restroom, etc., so leave 55 min early to give yourself a 17-minute cushion for traffic, weather, no parking, broken elevator, torn button, etc.
Every now and then...it's good to be punched in the face...
To lay it all on the line...
In front of God, neighbor, friend, and foe.
Nobody made a dent in the universe or made it into a history book by playing it safe.
Get up and get after it.

"A fool takes no pleasure in understanding but only in airing an opinion." Proverbs 18:2
Seek to understand vs. being understood.
You won't get your ass in a sling by asking good questions.
It's hard to over-promise when you're focused on the needs of your customer.
To make any sale, you must make every sale.
Think about that for a moment.
Every interaction you have with every prospect is a sale.
You are being judged by your emails, voicemails, logo, tonality, speaking pace, etc.
How dialed in are you to ensure you make every sale?
