Look forward to delving into the history of the war in Ukraine on Monday March 30, 7-9 PM at Hannan Hall 106 on the @CatholicUniv campus. Free and open to the public. Organized by the venerable Catholic U history club. @CatholicUHist
My essay on the links between the wars in Ukraine and Iran. A generic feature of 21st-century warfare, I argue, is its inconclusive nature. The great powers don't win, and the medium powers don't lose. The spread of such wars is itself a troubling dynamic.
