When Charlotte Catholic girls lacrosse needed a goal in overtime, she had the game-winner to end the Cougars' 12-year title drought.
Catholic defeated East Chapel Hill 9-8 on Friday in the 1A-6A championship game. Tan scored six goals to earn MVP honors.

The Cougars shut out Jacksonville on Friday for a 1-0 victory. Savanna Leckner was named MVP after scoring the game's lone goal.
The Cougars end the year unbeaten at 24-0-1.
