@me_myrddin I had to retire at 65 to look after my elderly mum, who had dementia. To do this I had to cash in a small pension to keep myself until I was 66. I cared for her for 4 years with no help, eventually I had to sell her flat to pay for a care home. RIP Mum 🥲

@RadarLanark I had a cataract op 6 weeks ago and I discovered the same thing. I got the hang of it in the end. Had to put 2 different lots of drops in 4 times a day.

@RadarLanark That is exactly what happened to my mum in September this year. After numerous visits to A & E, a fall in the care home, she finally refused all food and tablets. Like Anne, she spent the final days asleep. 🥲. She was 94 and didn’t have dementia until she was 88.

@RadarLanark My 94 year old mum passed away 3 weeks ago. She had dementia and I lost her bit by bit. I kept her at home as long as possible but it became too much and for the last year she was in a care home 😢.
