Last year, it was an effigy of a boat carrying asylum seekers. This year, it’s a mosque.

Coming just weeks after racist attacks forced families from their homes, this has nothing to do with culture. The Moygashel bonfire is becoming an annual shrine to racism and hate.

Political leaders need to stop making excuses and condemn it unequivocally.
