Today, April 30th, @POTUS proclaimed April as Second Chance Month. I am proud to serve our country in my role as White House Pardon Czar.
America is a nation of laws.
But it is also a nation that believes in growth, responsibility—and redemption.
I know that because I lived it.
Working alongside many partners across the country, I see every day that public safety must come first—but also that when people truly change, they deserve a real opportunity to rebuild their lives.
President Trump has led historic criminal justice reform—and never lost sight of that balance.
A second chance changed my life. Now I work every day to help others earn theirs. 🙏🏽🇺🇸

@ElonMuskAOC Experience life with a positive attitude, learn from your mistakes, help those in need, protect those who are weak, never look down on others, honor thy father and mother, know that respect and love are the treasure in life, and put God first!
Thank you @KimKardashian for helping us spread awareness about Ready Life! I am a believer and witness to what happens when you provide people with a second chance‼️
Curtis McDonald, a first-time nonviolent offender, is the last person from my case still in prison.
He made a mistake, a bad mistake like I did, but it should not be a life sentence.
My new organization @ActionForGood_ and I believe Curtis deserves a second chance!
God bless.
Americans desire law & order. But, more than anything, we value justice & fairness. When we see an injustice, we feel it. Rather than feeding division, an injustice rectified brings people together to rejoice. That’s what we plan to do @ActionForGood_! https://t.co/mupM8grHrj
