@EricSpracklen Beliefs don’t necessarily depend on observable reality. Beliefs can, in fact, be necessitated on presumption (and assumption, it’s cousin), as many beliefs are, in fact, constructed. Therefore, equating such beliefs to mere delusion is not just unlikely, it is inevitable.
@BrianGasmo@DC_Draino If you show someone that the earth is round, and they believe that it’s flat, you sure will shake their perception. You’ll be right, and they’ll be wrong. But, they still might think that you’re gaslighting them, because they’re just incorrect.
