I am in favor of France & Germany leaving the EU for one simple & sufficient reason: democracies are corrupted by relationships with undemocratic nations. A democratic Europe can only be built by excluding the European dictatorships. Until it does so, Europe can't be democratic.

Your modern sleek tall fridge probably packs a good 10% less space than the old designs. It's elementary math which I learned before I was 14.

@StartsWithABang The lab leak question is irrelevant, but the theory serves China's interests beautifully. It can never be proven & is entirely irrelevant to the question of moral guilt with regard to failed confinement. UFO: Yeah sure, they can cover that but fail at simpler tasks.

@jensstoltenberg Maybe a first sanction could be enacted? Limiting Russians to no more than owning 24 luxury mansions in the West and 364 tax-free days/year among us? I am sure that would break them. I'd rebuild the wall to keep them out, but that's being an idealist.

China/Russia will stop at nothing & this gives them a massive advantage. Ukraine can't effectively defend itself with all the shackles from the West & we are yet to enact the first real sanctions.

@general_ben He has seen that there won't be any sanctions or consequences if you side with war criminals while he can reap some gains from China and Russia, so it's a rational no-risk strategy, I guess.
