A big shout out to all Local Authority Heritage Officers today on #YourCouncilDay.
Since 2009 the Heritage Council has financially supported the employment of Heritage Officers in local authorities across the country. Heritage Officers do incredible work across many areas and inspire local communities to value and take pride in their heritage. They offer advice, secure funding, conduct research, and lead impactful and engaging heritage projects. Each year, The Heritage Council provides grant assistance for projects that support the implementation of Local Authority Heritage Plans. Our recent publication "Opening the Door to Ireland's Heritage" gives a snapshot of some of the more recent heritage projects. https://t.co/tLIN4zRk5j #HeritageHeroes #LoveYourHeritage
Spent time just looking, absorbing and reflecting in the ‘Threads of Empowerment’ exhibition @UlsterMuseum today. Devastating yet still hope from the solidarity and resistance on show. Well done to Roberta and the @conflicttextil1 team and my colleagues Karen and @Kim_Mawhinney
