For one week in June, the thorny wild rose, so invasive, blooms with delicate flowers that are so fragrant. I awoke this morning, my bedroom filled with this sweet scent. So many rose bushes, the mountain looks like it’s snowed . . . ❤️

Here she is, Snappy the snapping turtle or one of her sisters, making her annual trek to lay her eggs. She’s slow but her jaws are lightning fast and strong. Do not pet this beautiful baby! 🐢
