We loved welcoming students from Carrie Lane High School out to the #CattMuseum yesterday for a spring cleaning project. Their energy, hard work, and teamwork made such a difference! We appreciate their help and the continued partnership with the school.
Whether you’re a returning docent or curious about getting involved, this is a great chance to connect, ask questions, and see how you can help share Carrie Chapman Catt’s story. #CattMuseum

OTD in 1917, suffragists including Lucy Burns endured the brutal “Night of Terror” at the Occoquan Workhouse for peacefully demanding the right to vote. Their courage shocked the nation and strengthened the fight for suffrage — leading to the 19th Amendment.
Today we’re grateful for the right to vote — a right made possible by the 19th Amendment and the tireless efforts of leaders like Carrie Chapman Catt.
As you wear your “I Voted” sticker today, remember the generations of women and men who worked to make every voice count.
This Halloween, we’re reminded that civic engagement is no trick — it’s a treat!
Take a moment to make sure you’re registered to vote and ready to make your voice count, just like Carrie Chapman Catt worked for so many to be able to do.
We had such a fun time at last night’s @CharlesCityIA Spook Walk! It was great to see so many people and connect with others from across the community.
