@sallyrugg We were on Rottnest Island on New Years Eve and hurried back to Perth once we heard the news. Went straight to the Police who had no idea what it meant for us given our flight was the next day. They were at least able to provide the WA border force email address who we contacted

@sallyrugg Communication from the government needed to be clearer. Premier McGowan only made a follow up comment on his Facebook post about the self quarantining rules not preventing Vic travellers leaving the state - the most important point!

@sallyrugg Once we arrived at the airport there was no communication for what Vic travellers had to do nor anyone checking if we were eligible to leave the state. For all the stress leading up to our arrival at the airport it was concerning how lax the operation was.

@sallyrugg Only on the morning of our flight (New Years day) had we received any communication from the WA police (2.27am in the morning) about what the new rules meant for us. Given WA border force had given us approval to leave the state it was too late anyway.
